Your fake pig legs have to be small
enough to fit into a lunchbox.

We only accept rhymes from non-bloody
piglet dolls with dyed blond pig tails.

Not real pigs that stink and make
their own gross sounds.

You'll be tied to the bed in a pig sanitarium
with bleached blond rib cage breeding locks.

You'll be pulled out and thrown down the sewer
because of your dirty dark roots.

How dare you let your own hair grow.

Un-sided Self Portrait

My red yarn brings all the boys to the yard
and then sinks them down under the buoys.

My dark crystals are hidden inside
sunken ravens.

Just because I sink down
doesn't mean I still can't swim
in my own directions.

Doesn't mean I still can't maneuver up.
Maybe I just don't want to
with you.

Some of you take sides too quickly,
as if there are only two.
I'm a many sided protrusion.

Sometimes I like to keep
the positive parts to myself
and only release the negatives.

I can sink myself, keep my own
glitter under wet ashes,
until I decide to rise it up.

dream about being

dream about being kicked out too fast

the hospital bed speeding and turning me
into nothing. mom keeps trying to call me
hello, hello, juliet, where are you?
but I can’t answer.  i’m nobody

“I’m nobody!  Who are you?
Are you – …”

a hole that can’t speak
for itself anymore,
a sudden feeding tube
inserted with surgical scalpel

little broken scissor blades,
cutting me into disheveled pieces,
ripped out strands falling farther away
everyone else is off in the distance

i am alone and do not know
what is going on. am i dead
and nobody cares? am i
alive but expiring?

where am i going? am i
still part of me or am i almost gone,
but stuck inside an uncontrollable
breathing machine, nothing but
a mechanical corpse vat,
nothing but an ongoing unspeaking

dream about being nobody
